If you are asking whether LendPlus is legit in South Africa, check the business and your actual loan offer before deciding. Finpanda has not independently audited LendPlus or certified any loan as suitable for you. This guide explains the checks to make before sending personal information or accepting a contract.
1. Check the website and legal provider
Finpanda’s LendPlus offer button now opens lendplus.co.za, the lender website. The site’s About us page identifies Lendplus Technology (Pty) Ltd and displays NCRCP17814. Treat these as the site’s claims: search the legal name or number in the NCR register and match the result to the company named in the agreement. A register entry alone does not verify a particular advert or guarantee a good offer.
2. Verify what the application asks for
LendPlus says applicants may need a South African ID, recent bank statements and a valid cellphone number. It describes income sharing through TruID with consent. Read its privacy information and confirm the address bar before providing documents. The site warns that it does not request payments or personal details through unofficial channels; check an unexpected message directly with the provider.
3. Compare the written cost, not the advert
Ask how much you would receive, the interest and every fee, each repayment date and the total amount to repay. Check the pre-agreement statement and quotation for your own amount and term. A speed or amount claim in an ad is not a personal approval or final price. Use Finpanda’s total-cost guide to compare offers on the same basis.
4. Understand repayment permission
LendPlus describes a DebiCheck mandate and possible postponement or extension. Before confirming a debit order, check the amount and dates against your quotation. If you may need more time, ask what a change would cost and whether it would increase the total repayment. Keep a copy of the agreement and repayment schedule.
