FASTA review in South Africa: costs and key checks

FASTA review covering published costs, requirements, repayment, complaints and legitimacy checks in South Africa. Read what to verify before applying.

Provider information reviewed 13 October 2026. Published claims and your own quotation are separate checks.

This FASTA review covers its published loan information in South Africa: costs, requirements, repayment, customer-review checks and complaints. It is a source-based editorial review, not a report of a test application or verified borrower experience.

Review summary: what to check first

FASTA publishes several credit products. Its cash-loan information gives up to R15,000 with up to six monthly instalments, while digital-card and retail products have their own terms. Its calculator separates costs, including Credit Protection Insurance. Compare the exact product and insurance requirements; a cash-product headline is not a quote for every FASTA option.

Our main check: Identify the product and include insurance in the full cost. Finpanda has not independently confirmed current NCR registration or audited service quality. We do not assign a star rating or recommend the loan for every reader.

Is FASTA registered with the NCR?

The provider’s own company information identifies FASTA (Pty) Ltd and displays NCRCP10591. This is a provider-published claim checked on 13 October 2026. We have not independently confirmed its current registration status. Use the NCR register to match the legal name, number and status to the company in your agreement. A registration check does not authenticate a social-media account or rate customer service.

FASTA cash loans and other products are different

The cash-loan pages publish access to up to R15,000 with up to six monthly instalments. FASTA also advertises a digital card and retail credit. Confirm which product your quotation covers; a cash maximum is not the limit or schedule of every FASTA product.

Published example: the full repayment amount

Published FASTA illustration: R3,300 borrowed plus R660 fees and interest gives R3,960 total repayment, in two R1,980 monthly instalments.

What does a FASTA loan cost?

The homepage calculator separates interest, an initiation fee, a service fee and Credit Protection Insurance. Compare the amount received with the full repayment total for your selected product and schedule. This guide does not publish a universal interest rate: a calculator illustration is not a personalised quotation.

The FAQ says FASTA requires credit protection cover and describes using equivalent alternative insurance. Ask for the premium, benefits, exclusions and substitution process that apply to your agreement. Read our credit-life insurance guide before comparing an insured offer with another quote.

FASTA reviews and payout-time claims

A review of retail credit may not describe the cash-loan experience. Check the product, date, complaint and provider response before drawing a conclusion. Older FASTA contact material describes business-day timing, while the current homepage advertises weekend and holiday payouts. Ask support about your application rather than relying on an old search result. We have not tested payout speed or verified a customer-review score.

How to contact FASTA safely

Start at www.fasta.co.za and use its Support navigation. Verify unexpected requests through a separate official channel. Do not use a phone number copied from an unverified advert as the sole identity check.

What to do if you have a complaint

Write down the issue and dates, keep the quotation and correspondence, and contact the provider through its own website. Ask for a complaint reference and a written explanation. For an unresolved credit complaint, use the NCR’s official complaints information to check the appropriate next step. Remove personal identifiers before posting a public review. See help when a repayment becomes unaffordable.

Questions before you decide

Does registration mean this loan is safe for me?

No single identity check answers affordability, price, privacy and service quality. Confirm each separately and read the NCR consumer-rights guide.

Is an upfront release fee normal?

The NCR warns against upfront-fee loan scams. Stop and verify a request to pay before funds are released through an official channel.

Where can I compare other providers?

Read the FASTA profile, South Africa loan comparison and total-cost checklist. Compare matching amounts and schedules; this guide is not a recommendation to borrow.
